Dr. David Munoz
Dr. David Munoz grew up in El Paso, Texas . Shortly after receiving his degree in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University, Dr. Munoz moved to Southeast Florida, where he has been practicing for 25 years. Dr. Munoz has a wife Lisa, daughter Alexandra, and multiple pets of various species. On his free time, Dr. Munoz likes to spend time with the family on the beach, scuba diving, snorkeling, and bowling.
Dr. Sami Hanes
Dr. Sami Hanes, the daughter of a highly decorated Marine Corps aviator, was born in southern California. As a 1983 graduate of Tuskegee University she moved her beloved dog and parrot to South Florida and began her career as a relief veterinarian. She worked as a relief or substitute vet in many practices which brought her to Hillsboro Beach Animal Hospital. Dr. Hanes grew fond of her co-workers, friendly clients and patients who made it impossible to leave! You can find her working weekends to care for your pets. Dr. Hanes has two children in college, Megan (21) lives in Jupiter and spends her time riding and showing horses, and Kyle(19) who lives in Pompano Beach along with their 3 dogs, 3 cats, a turtle and of course the parrot-now over 30! Dr. Hanes enjoys reading, gardening and the outdoors in her free time.
Dr. Maria Garcia
Dr. Maria Garcia grew up in Lima, Peru. Since she was a little girl, she loved animals and knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. She used to pick up strays from the streets and foster them as a teenager with her mom's help until they found homes for them. After graduating from vet school at Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Dr. Garcia came to Miami where she started working as a veterinary technician/manager while studying for her boards. She is married to Carlos and has two dogs and two cats, which are our spoiled rotten babies. On her free time she loves going to the beach, and to the gym for step and zumba classes.
Dr. Lisa Taylor
Dr. Lisa Taylor recently moved from Kansas City, Missouri to become Hillsboro Beach Animal Hospital’s new managing veterinarian. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine and practiced in Olathe, KS for several years before being tempted away by Florida’s sunshine and warmer weather. Dr. Taylor loves all animals but is especially interested in geriatric care as well as soft tissue surgery, physical therapy, and dental health. She and her husband, Remington, have a German Shepherd (Jemilah Lynn), English Bulldog (Max-a-million), and gray tabby cat (Griswald Maurice), who fill their lives with entertainment and orneriness. A true Midwesterner, she loves horseback riding, gardening, BBQ, and the Kansas City Royals!!!
