Dr. David Munoz

Dr. David Munoz grew up in El Paso, Texas . Shortly after receiving his degree in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University, Dr. Munoz moved to Southeast Florida, where he has been practicing for 25 years. Dr. Munoz has a wife Lisa, daughter Alexandra, and multiple pets of various species. On his free time, Dr. Munoz likes to spend time with the family on the beach, scuba diving, snorkeling, and bowling.

Dr. Sami Hanes

Dr. Sami Hanes, the daughter of a highly decorated Marine Corps aviator, was born in southern California. As a 1983 graduate of Tuskegee University she moved her beloved dog and parrot to South Florida and began her career as a relief veterinarian. She worked as a relief or substitute vet in many practices which brought her to Hillsboro Beach Animal Hospital. Dr. Hanes grew fond of her co-workers, friendly clients and patients who made it impossible to leave! You can find her working weekends to care for your pets. Dr. Hanes has two children in college, Megan (21) lives in Jupiter and spends her time riding and showing horses, and Kyle(19) who lives in Pompano Beach along with their 3 dogs, 3 cats, a turtle and of course the parrot-now over 30! Dr. Hanes enjoys reading, gardening and the outdoors in her free time.


Dr. Juan Davila

Dr. Juan Davila, originally from San Juan Puerto Rico, but has been in the states pursuing his dream of becoming a veterinarian for 20 years.

He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida with honors in 2002. He continued his studies and received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in 2006. After graduation, Dr. Davila practiced in Las Vegas, Nevada for 7 years prior to returning to Florida. Florida was always a place he wanted to return to being closer to family and similar climate to the place he grew up in. He has worked with many different animals in his career, ranging from hairless rats to tigers, bobcats, and monkeys. He became chief of staff of three hospitals in his career and gained enormous knowledge on quality medicine, team leadership, and customer experience.

Dr. Davila lives in West Palm Beach with his 4-legged scruffy daughters, Lexie and Nora. He enjoys staying active and being physically healthy. On his free time, Dr. Davila enjoys working out, biking, paddle boarding, beach time with his pups, arts, and spending time with his family.


Dr. Janice Loss

Dr. Janice Loss was born in New Jersey but grew up in South Florida.

She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida in 2005. That same year she was accepted to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She finished her fourth year clinical rotation at Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM).

Prior to working at Hillsboro Beach Animal Hospital, Dr. Loss worked in Fort Lauderdale and has over 9 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery. She has a special interest in feline internal medicine. She is a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and the Broward County Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Loss is married and has a daughter named Charlotte. She shares her home with a Maine Coon named Jaq and a Jack Russel Terrier named Soulie. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, shopping, traveling, and relaxing with a good book
