Relief Veterinarian

Dr. Alicia Smith

As some of you may already know, Dr. Loss is expecting her second child in early July. She has decided to take a 3 month maternity leave beginning June 27th and ending September 30th. While she is away taking care of her human family, Dr. Alicia Smith will be stepping in to help take care of Dr. Loss’s veterinary family (ie. her patients). Dr. Smith will be able to keep in close contact with Dr. Loss, ensuring there are not any interruptions in her current patients’ health care. Dr. Smith, along with our resident associate veterinarians, Dr. Munoz and Dr. Pelah, will continue to be available by appointment during regular business hours as well. Thank you for your understanding and if you have any questions, please, do not hesitate to call.

Since 2017, Dr. Alicia Smith has been providing relief veterinary services for Hillsboro Beach Animal Hospital. She obtained a Bachelors degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry in 2005. In 2009, she went on to attend Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine where she acquired her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Smith’s areas of professional interest include small animal internal medicine and dermatology. She is also a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
